External Spiritual Disciplines

“Life with God for the sake of the world” is one way to understand some of the external spiritual disciplines that a Christian can engage in to see God at work around him and through him. There are so many commands, fruitful results of discipleship, and statements about relationships in the scriptures that really can only be seen or done in order to tell that they are present in a believer’s life. The external disciplines are meant to bring the believer into further engagement with the body of Christ for mutual sharpening and to glorify God by facilitating outlets for healthy rhythms of life. 

Disciplines include - Simplicity, Service, Worship, Celebration, Fellowship
