Time
On average you will get 613,000 hours or 70 years to live in your life. To spend as you will. Most will spend 203,000 hours of it sleeping, leaving you with about 2/3rds of your life left. Sadly, many of us will choose to spend the rest of our life serving ourselves or pleasing our flesh with everything that we do rather than serving God. How will you spend your remaining 410,000 hours of life?
By the time you start middle school, over 103,000 of those hours are gone. You have 50,000 hours in your middle and high school years. Hours where you don't have kids, full-time jobs, or a spouse to jockey for your time. The Bible tells us to redeem the time we have, to make the most of every opportunity, because life passes quickly and the message of the gospel is urgent. What if you chose to devote 1 of those hours every week, 364 hours between 6th and 12th grade, to directly spreading the gospel? Or 5 minutes of every hour you're awake or just over an hour a day to prayer? Meditating on scripture? Better yet, choose to pick up the call in scripture to use every moment, every conversation, every decision to glorify God as a witness to others, seizing the day for Christ. How would that small thing make a big difference in your life?
