Why Worship God?

Did God create us just to worship Him and to be punished if we don't? Wouldn't that be arrogant? What does it mean to worship anyway? Doesn't all humanity worship something? These and other questions will be discussed in this session. We will see that worship is more than a religious activity—it is a lifestyle of recognizing God’s worth, responding to His character, and honoring Him through various forms of devotion and obedience. Worship is central to human purpose and the Bible presents broader purposes for humanity, including knowing and glorifying God, loving others, serving Him, reflecting His character, and participating in His renewed creation when Christ returns.
