God's Power

The church at Philippi had a special place in Paul’s heart due primarily to the people that he knew and loved there for many years.   From the humble beginnings of the church when Paul first visited, when there wasn’t even a synagogue in the city, to the current state of the church more than a decade later, Paul expressed great affection in his letter to the Philippians.  Why was this church so different as compared ot the other churches addressed in the Pauline letters?  Paul expresses his great affection and why he feels this way in his letter as a result of the church in Philippi and their commitment to Christ and His good works.  Ultimately, our joy will be maximized as we draw close to our Savior and to each other, spurring each other on for additional good works and growth in our Savior.  He crystallizes his thoughts, feelings and justification in our study.
