A letter of Joy

May 9, 2025    Michael Fitzgerald

There is a significant difference between happiness and joy. Happiness is an emotion that depends on external circumstances, while joy is a deep contentment that comes from the Lord. A great example of a life filled with the joy of the Lord can be seen in Paul, who was imprisoned in Rome. In his letter to the church in Philippi, he provides an in-depth look at what it means to be filled with the joy of the Lord. In this introduction to a series called "Summer Joy," we will explore who the Philippians were and outline a prescription for living a life filled with joy.
