Joy in Servitude

Selfless living and the attitude that accompanies it are counterintuitive to the world. Philippians 2:19-30 emphasizes the Apostle Paul's intention to send Timothy to the Philippians, highlighting his genuine concern for their well-being. Paul notes that Timothy stands out for his selflessness; he prioritizes the interests of Christ and the Philippians over his own. Additionally, Paul mentions Epaphroditus, who risked his life to serve the Philippians, further illustrating the theme of selfless service and dedication to the community. This week, we observe that this passage encourages believers to adopt such selfless attitudes in their relationships with others.
