Building Trust - Sessions 1&2
The enemy knows that if he can isolate a person, he can convince him of almost anything. Mutual accountability to God and to our spouse provides harmony, trust, and transparency. Being accountable to one another is not about policing or parenting each other but promoting a healthy oneness with your spouse. Putting boundaries in place and avoiding situations that can lead to temptation or give the appearance of wrongdoing are great practices to protecting your marriage and building trust with your spouse.
In marriage, you have a built-in accountability partner, but another layer of accountability could be to select a mature Christian — of the same sex — who would have the courage to speak the truth and ask you tough questions.
Topics covered could include accountability in finances, with relationships outside of marriage, decisions, and technology.
