Building Order - Sessions 1&2

Our marriages are to represent the relationship that Jesus Christ has for His bride, the Church. Because of this, it is critical that we understand and operate in our God-given roles as husbands and wives, as prescribed in God’s Word. A godly husband places himself under God’s authority and lives his life surrendered to Jesus Christ. Husbands are to love their wives in the sacrificial way that Jesus Christ loves us.
A godly wife positions herself under and operates according to the rule of God in every area of her life. A godly wife is precious to her husband and her value cannot be overstated. She places herself in willful submission to her husband as part of her submission unto the Lord.
