Great In Power
Although the book of Nahum is filled some doom and gloom for the Assyrians it gives hope to God's people that He is just and will punish their enemies. This week we will take a look at the first chapter of Nahum and pull out a few of God's attributes that we can apply to our marriages.
Discussion Questions
1. This week we talked about three aspects of God that he reveals to us in Nahum. God is slow to anger, great in power, and just. What are some other attributes of God that we can rely on.
2. How does it bring God glory when we overlook an offense?
3. Discuss how taking justice into our own hands can actually damage our relationship with others and God.
4. Read Psalm 56:3-4 - God is the place we need to put our trust, He is the stronghold and the rock.
5. Discuss some ways in which you and your spouse can prepare for situations in which you may be more likely to be "quick to anger"
