Walk While Waiting

Nov 6, 2024    Michael Fitzgerald

Everyone longs for hope, but there is a big difference between worldly hope and the hope that comes from God. For followers of Jesus, there is no greater hope than knowing that one day He will return for those who belong to Him. Walking with Jesus can be challenging because the world is still broken, but He promised His followers that after His ascension, He would one day return to gather His children, and we would be with Him forever in a place free from sorrow in the presence of His glory. This sure promise provides Jesus' followers with hope when things seem impossible and inspires them to fulfill their purpose by sharing the message of Jesus with everyone. The Bible states that Jesus will return at an hour we least expect, which also creates a sense of urgency for those who do not have a relationship with Him. This week, we will explore the two letters written to the Thessalonians, where Paul addresses many of their questions regarding the second coming of Jesus.
