Walk in Joy

What is joy? Many people long to have it, but often mistake it for happiness. Paul, who Jesus chose to proclaim His message far and wide, knew that he would suffer greatly for Jesus' name sake on the journey God had set for him. Despite being beaten, mocked, and imprisoned throughout his journey, Paul's letter to the church in Philippi provides insight into how he lived a life full of joy. While Paul was imprisoned in Rome, he wanted the followers in Philippi to understand how he was filled with joy and how they could be as well. This week, we learn from Paul’s letter to the Philippians that joy only comes from the Lord and is only possible through a strong relationship with Him.
