Dominican Republic Trip Recap

Apr 10, 2024    Michael and Ali Fitzgerald

As the Gospel message spread and the church grew in size, believers found themselves needing to distribute out the load of ministry so that the church was cared for and the message continued to move forward. When the church faced this dilemma they responded in finding others full of the Holy Spirt and faith that could help meet various needs within the body. Nothing is different for the church today. As the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of followers, the church grows resulting in the need of many to rise up to accommodate the growth. Followers of Jesus are called to imitate the example that He set for us and that is to serve others.

This week we get to hear the testimony of a couple teens that responded to the need for help in the nation of Dominican Republic. We will do a Q&A style message with them so they can be an encouragement for their peers. We will learn that while some are called afar, we do not have to travel across the world to meet a need in the church. Needs can be met right now in our own local body of believers and others around us to share the love of Jesus.
