Paul Goes

Last week, we saw Saul miraculously changed into a new creation. He immediately began telling people about Jesus and proving that Jesus is the savior. Though he knew God had a plan for his life (Galatians 1:15-16), he didn't seek advice or wait for God to reveal the details. He preached the gospel because God's plan is always about bringing others to know Jesus as their savior. 14 years later, the Holy Spirit sent him and others on Paul's first Missionary journey, with more journeys following. God used them mightily but not without persecution. God not only let the persecution happen, but it was part of the plan (Acts 9:16)! We like to think God is concerned with our comfort much more than He is. He is much more concerned with our eternity and the eternity of those we are supposed to share Jesus with than our comfort in this life. The closer we get to God and His plan, the less we will care about our wants in this life. Is God's grace and Jesus' sacrifice enough for us to sell out for Him?
