Transformation

Transformation in a followers life is one of the most beautiful things to witness. Often we hear many say that they are followers of God but its hard to see evident transformation in their lives. Peter went from a man that was filled with fear, and denial to a man that boldly proclaimed truth because of the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in His life. Immediately following the arrival of the Holy Spirt on the day of Pentecost, we see Peter preach the Gospel to a multitude of people that responded in allegiance to Jesus. How can we be certain that their allegiance was authentic? This week we see that the transformation by the Spirit in so many was evident by their actions. Acts 2:42 says “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” The early church grew in such a multitude because they were constantly devoting themselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
