The Prophets
This week, as we continue through the Hebrews 11 Hall of Faith, we come to the infamous prophets. If anyone in the Old Testament can spark our curiosity, it is the prophets. The prophets were individuals chosen by God to convey His word to His people and the surrounding nations. They went to great lengths to communicate God's message, urging people to turn away from their own ways and seek forgiveness through Jesus. The prophets emphasized the need for God and the anticipation of a future Savior (Jesus).
Today, we have God's completed Word, and much like the Old Testament prophets who were obedient in delivering God's message, we too are entrusted with sharing what has already been revealed. We can learn a lot from the prophets' faith in sharing their message, even when faced with backlash and challenging circumstances. While we may fear sharing the truth due to potential negative reactions, we can draw strength from the prophets who endured hostility, motivated by their love for our Savior.
