Faith Trusts God's Way
God has an absolute way, and His followers trust that His way is best. This week, we read in Hebrews 11:29: “By faith they (the Israelites) passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned.”
Just as the Israelites found themselves trapped against the Red Sea with no means of rescue by their own doing, we too are powerless to save ourselves by going our own way. The Egyptians believed they could seize what they desired, but God made a spectacle of them by drowning them when they tried to do things their own way instead of following His way. Jesus is the only way, and we can do nothing to earn His salvation. We must simply trust God’s way by faith, repent, and lean into Him.
