Adults Resolve Conflict
Feb 6, 2026 • Luke Mcalister
Conflict can arise at any moment, and if you’re looking closely, it’s likely you might be experiencing some form of conflict with others in your life right now. James makes it clear that the source of our conflict with others is none other than ourselves. Human beings are motivated to please themselves, which results in conflict with both God and others. This week, we learn that God is a jealous God—He desires our devotion and becomes jealous when we prioritize the world or ourselves over Him. He wants us to desire Him above all else, but to do that, we must have a high view of God and humble ourselves before Him. When we do this, the result is grace and peace.
Your conflict is with God as well.
