Adults Use Their Words Well

The tongue is the bit & the rudder. The power of speech is a great power- we can praise, pray, preach, evangelize, exhort, etc. But it can also be used to tell lies, destroy a reputation, or break someone's heart. Those teaching the Word have the ability to influence others which shouldn’t be taken lightly. The bit and the rudder must overcome contrary forces just as the tongue must overcome the old nature and be under control of Jesus.
