Discussion Questions:

Ice Breaker: If you could invent a new holiday, what would it be called and how would we celebrate it?

1. Romans 13:8 says, “Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another…” In what ways can we, as spouses, live out this “debt of love” toward each other on a daily basis?

2. Jesus said the greatest commandments are to love God and love your neighbor (Matt. 22:37–39). How does prioritizing love for God together as a couple shape the way you love each other?

3. Romans 13:10 says, “Love does no wrong to a neighbor.” What does it mean for love to “do no wrong” in the context of marriage—and how do we respond when we fall short?

4. The second half of the Ten Commandments focus on how we treat others (Exodus 20:12–17).

Which of these commands (e.g., honoring, not coveting, not bearing false witness) speaks most to you in your relationship right now, and why?

5. Jesus connects all the Law and Prophets to the command to love (Matt. 22:40). How does this truth reshape the way you see obedience—not as duty, but as an expression of love in your marriage?
