I AM Winning the Battle

Mar 13, 2025    Nick Latta

As Amalek came and fought with Israel, Moses stood on a nearby hill with the staff of God in his hands. As the battle raged on, Moses began to get fatigued, and the staff started to be lowered, allowing the Amalekites to begin to prevail. But God had surrounded Moses with Aaron and Hur, who would place a rock under him and lift his hands so Israelites would prevail. Life brings us many seasons of hardship as we face various battles. In marriage, we aren't alone; God has given us someone to help "hold up our hands" and prevail against life's challenges.

Verses:

Discussion Questions:

Ice Breaker: What is one thing that you have on your bucket list?

1. A couple weeks ago we looked at Exodus 14. Read verses 13-14. The Lord fought for Israel and fights for you today. What are some practical ways we can put fear behind us and trust the Lord?

2. What does community (Good/Bad) and/or accountability look like in your life? Your marriage?

3. Group leaders… Share a small bit of your testimony or a story of how God has worked in your life. Every believer should have a testimony. Try to inspire others in the group to share theirs.

4. Read Acts 18:24-26 and 1st Corinthians 16:19. Priscilla and Aquila served and shared the gospel together, even hosting a house church. How can we use their example in our life to live out the gospel with our spouse?
