I AM Worthy of Praise
As God's people were rescued from slavery God parts the Red Sea to deliver them from the hand of their enemy. They were baptized through this crossing into the new life God wanted for them. When they reached the other side on dry ground and watched the enemy defeated by God's power they sing a song of praise to the Lord. As God shows up in our life in similar ways, through salvation or overcoming a great struggle, are we giving Him the glory He deserves? Do we spend time resting in His presence and glorifying His name?

1. In Exodus 15:2 the Song of Moses says:
"This is my God, and I will praise him,
My father’s God, and I will exalt him."
Why is it praiseworthy that a man serves the same God as his father? How can we take seriously the responsibility to train up our children that they may serve the same God as us?
2. In Exodus 15:6 the Song of Moses says:
"Your right hand, O Lord, was majestic in power;
Your right hand, O Lord, shattered the enemy."
In our personal lives very few of us have other people we would call enemies. In Matthew 5:43-44 Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you”. Which is more powerful, utterly defeating your foe, or winning them over to become a friend and an ally?
3. In Exodus 15:13 the Song of Moses says:
"You have led the people whom you have redeemed by Your steadfast love"
Can you say, in your own experience with God, that He has led you by His love? Can you share an example?
4. In Revelation 15:4 the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb says:
"All nations will come and worship before you for your righteous acts have been revealed"
We saw tonight that when God’s acts become known that it brings forth praise. Have you ever thought about what it will be like when everyone knows God and worships him openly?
