Icebreaker: What is the scariest thing you have ever done?

 1. Can you think of a time when you were in a period of waiting like the Israelites and you battled with or were tempted by an idol?  

 2. Why are idols so tempting to turn to? Give an example.

 3. How do we defend ourselves and our spouses from being lured away from God and towards idols of this world?

 4. What idols do we have in our lives right now that keeps us from giving all of ourselves to God? Why are we lingering to hold on to them?

 5. What other stories in the Bible show that there is only one true God?
