Faith in the Impossible
Sarah and Abraham were promised a son in their old age. A son who would become the founder of a great nation, through whom the Savior of the world would eventually be born. Although it seemed impossible at the time, God fulfilled His promise, but not without some interference from Sarah and Abraham. Following the Lord can sometimes feel impossible, especially when we find ourselves in situations requiring patience while waiting on Him. Our instinct when we find ourselves waiting is to take matters into our own hands and try to help God. Despite Sarah taking control during the waiting period, we can still point to Hebrews 11:11, which states, "By faith even Sarah herself received the ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised."
