God is the Helper

Weakness is not typically a trait one openly admits, likely because acknowledging it indicates a need for help. Whether it's your parents, teachers, AI, or substances, there are many places or people someone will turn to when they need help, but do you go to God? Throughout the Bible, we see God faithfully helping those who ask. The Israelites crying out for help when they were in slavery in Egypt, Moses needing help when he couldn't speak well, David seeking safety from his enemies, or Peter yelling "Help me" when he started sinking after looking at the storm around him. He is still helping us today in our weaknesses. Jesus promised to send a Helper who would live within those who follow Him, and this Helper (the Holy Spirit) would assist with everything Jesus did during His time here. Paul wrote about boasting in his weaknesses, saying that when he is weak, he is strong. This may seem crazy, but the truth is he boasted in them because God worked through his weaknesses and provided help. This week, we look at our vulnerability to see how we can reach out to God at all times for help, because God is the Helper.
