Holy & Blameless

Feb 5, 2026    Todd Deering

Colossians 1:21-23 reminds us of the iniquity of mankind and the need for a Savior, a sacrifice to take on our sins and set us free. Through this sacrifice, Christ sets an example for husbands and wives that is greater than anything the world could ever create. His sacrifice defeated sin and set us on a path to walk a life holy and blameless through His strength. As we learn to model this in our marriage, we spend each day walking directly into the light, closer to our spouse, and closer to our Creator.

Discussion Questions:

1.Have someone read the passage for tonight Colossians 1:21-23. Colossians 1:23 emphasizes continuing in the faith, stable and steadfast. What are some practical ways a couple can stay spiritually grounded during busy or stressful seasons?

2.Where have you seen the difference between “hoping things will get better” versus “hoping in Christ together” in your marriage?

3.Christ did not withhold reconciliation from us but moved toward us in grace. When one of us falls into sin, how does remembering Christ’s sacrificial reconciliation guide the way we confess, repent, and extend grace to each other in marriage?

4.Looking at your marriage today, where do you sense God is inviting you to grow more deeply rooted in Him together? Allow each spouse to answer.
