The Gospel at Home
Join us for session thirteen as we explore how God calls us to live faithfully in the relationships He has placed us in—in our marriages, in our homes, and at work. Discussion Questions:
Icebreaker: What is one household or work task you secretly enjoy?
1. Have a wife read Ephesians 5:22-24. Wives, we are called to submit to our own husbands, in submission to the Lord. When do you find godly submission most difficult to do? Is there anything your husband can do to help you with biblical submission?
2. Have a husband read Ephesians 5:25-30. Husbands, what does it mean for you to love your wife sacrificially? Is there anything you feel convicted to do differently to prioritize her in your daily life?
3. Husbands, our wives desire us to spiritually lead them. What is one thing you can do this week to lead your wife in a closer relationship with God?
4. How can parents balance discipline with grace to ensure children learn obedience and God’s love? Share personal examples and best practices.
5. Fathers (and parents), what are some ways you might unintentionally discourage or frustrate your children or adult children? How can you help one another to avoid this?
6. How can you do better to honor God in your workplace or in your daily responsibilities?
