God is Perfect

How often have you found yourself comparing your life to someone else’s, using their circumstances as a template for your own definition of perfection? Whether it’s looks, personality, or lifestyle, we all fall into the trap of measuring ourselves against others and conforming to society’s mold of perfection. According to Webster’s Dictionary, perfection is “the highest possible degree of excellence.” However, what you or I define as perfection—or who we think holds that position—is relative, unless we are speaking of God. God alone truly deserves that title. He is ultimately perfect in all that He is and does, and He cannot be compared to anyone, for He has no equal (Isaiah 40:25).
