A Man After God's Own Heart
This week we will take a look at the moment David was anointed as the next king over Israel. God would send the prophet Samuel to to find for Himself a new king. Join us tonight as we learn how God sees mankind in a different way than we are able to. He sees the heart of people, all of a person is known by Him. This Truth can have a huge impact on our lives and in our marriages.
Ice breaker: Which one of you is the DIY'er in the relationship? Who likes to fix/build/create, and who likes to hire someone for the job?
Discussion Questions:
1. How would David's time as a shepherd have prepared him to be king and lead the people?
2. Read Mark 10:31, how does this relate to David and also to how God interacts with this world?
3. What is something that you have learned about your spouse over your relationship that stands out? (Maybe something you didn't know at first.)
4. If we truly surrender our spouses into God's hands, how would this change how we treat them?
5. What is something you can do to support the work God is doing in your spouse?
