In The Service Of The King

Oct 5, 2023    Nick Latta

When people depart from God, their troubles really begin. King Saul was tormented by an evil spirit, and David was called from the sheep pens to play the lyre for the king. Just like David, God can draw what may seem to be a most insignificant part of your past and put you in exactly the right place to use a particular gift or skill.

Discussion Questions:

Icebreaker (optional): If you had to sing a karaoke song right now, what song would you pick?

1. Who is God to you and what is your relationship like with Him?

2. David was given many giftings from the Lord (skilled musician, good speaker...). What are some of your giftings? Could be individual or as a couple

3. Read 1 Peter 4:10. How do we use the gifts that God has given us to serve others?

4. What are some things we can do differently than the world to show that the Lord is with us?

5. Knowing he was anointed, David still trusted God's plan to do something that might have seemed insignificant. How have you had to show this type of patience in your walk?
