SCRIPTURE
Matthew 4:4 | But Jesus told him, No! The Scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Joshua 1:7-9 | Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 1:1-3 | Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.

1. What verbs (or action words) does Joshua 1:8 use when discussing Gods Word?
2. Meditate means to think deeply or focus your mind on. How can someone meditate on Gods Word? Is this something you do? In what ways?
3. What do you think delighting in the law of the Lord means? Do you delight in Gods Word? Why or why not?
4. In what way is the Bible like spiritual food or nourishment for believers? What differences do you notice when you are studying Gods Word consistently verses times where you are not?
