SALVATION - Fully & forever forgiven

1 John 1:9 | But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

  1. What does it mean to confess?
  2. How do we confess our sin to God?
  3. How often do you confess your sin to God? Did you do this at salvation? After? Daily?
  4. If  you confess your sin, what does God promise to do?

Psalm 103:12 |  He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

  1. The East and West never meet up. What does this mean about how God views  you and your sin?

Romans 8:12 | And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.

  1. When God forgives your sin, what does He promise?
  2. What do these promises mean to you?

Ephesians 1:12-14 | God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

  1. The Holy Spirit is God’s promise or seal that you belong to Him and have  received Salvation. Have you experienced the Holy Spirit  in your life? How and when?
  2. Because of this, are you certain of your salvation? If you have doubts, what will you do about them?
