GOD: JESUS - Is sinless

SCRIPTURES
2 Corinthians 5:21 | For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,  so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

1 John 3:4-6 | Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.

Hebrews 4:15 | This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

DISCUSSION
  1. Do you believe that as a human, Jesus never sinned? How do you know?
  2. If Jesus had sinned, even once, could He have been the offering for our sin? Why or why not?
  3. Do you think Jesus ever had the desire to do, think, or say something sinful? How do you know?
  4. While Jesus is fully God, He was also fully human. This means He was tempted just like we are. How did Jesus manage to stay sinless? What does His example teach you about your own struggle with sin?
  5. 1 John 3 tells us that anyone who continues to live in Jesus will not sin. We know that we aren’t perfect and still mess up after we accept Christ. Because  of this, the phrase “continues to live in Him” is really important— that is the key to not sinning. How can you continually live IN Christ?
