MAN - Handcrafted by God

Genesis 2:7 | Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

  1. Think back to the account of creation. How did God make light? The waters? Animals?
  2. What was different about the way God made man?

Isaiah 64:8 | And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.

  1. God shaped you with His own hands. What parts of you do you think were important to God? Why?
  2. Do you live with God as the potter in your life -  able to shape who you are and what you do?

Psalm 139:13-16 | You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

  1. Do you believe you, as God’s workmanship, are marvelous? Why or why not?
  2. Is there anything about yourself you wish you could change? What and why? Does this mean you don’t trust God’s workmanship?
  3. Each part of you was made on purpose by God. How can you use your strengths and weaknesses for His glory?
