BIBLE: Obeyed through action

SCRIPTURES
Luke 11:28 | Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

Matthew 7:24 | “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.

James 1:22-25 | But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

1. How would you sum up the main point from each of today’s verses? 
2. Why is just reading the Bible or just listening to Bible teachings not enough? What other step is needed?
3. What promise does God give to those who put the Bible into practice by obeying it?
4. What blessings have you experienced because of your obedience to God? What have you experienced when you’ve ignored God’s ways and have gone your own way instead?
