SCRIPTURE
Matthew 4:4 | But Jesus told him, No! The Scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Hebrews 4:12-13 | For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

Romans 12:2 | Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know Gods will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

DISCUSSION

1. How does the Bible show you what is truly good and bad in your heart? How does it show you where you are weak or strong?
2. Hebrews 4:12 says Gods Word is alive. What does this mean? How have you experienced this?
3. Do you ever avoid reading Gods Word to avoid conviction (feeling bad for your sin)? When you have done this in the past, what were the consequences?
4. How has Gods Word changed the way you think (about people, right/wrong, your purpose, your identity, etc).
