PRAYER - ASK - pray for the work of the gospel

SCRIPTURE
James 4:8 | Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Colossians 4:2-4 | Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.

Ephesians 6:18-20 | Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.h I am in chains now, still preaching this message as Gods ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

1. When you pray, what are some things you ask God for?
2. What does it mean to devote yourself to prayer? Would you consider yourself devoted to prayer? Why or why not?
3. In todays Bible reading, who are we instructed to pray for?
4. How often do you pray for others to come to know Jesus and for those who are sharing Jesus with others? As a doer, does this need to change? Start now!
5. Do you pray at all times? How does ongoing prayer keep you close to God?
