WORSHIP GOD - For who He is

SCRIPTURE
Romans 12:1 |
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Psalm 95:1-7 | Come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods. He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!

Hebrews 13:15 | Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.

DISCUSSION
  1. Psalm 95 gives God names like the Rock of our Salvation, Great God, Great King, and Our Maker. Who is God to you? What are some names you call Him or think of Him as?
  2. How do you personally worship God for who He is?
  3. What does worship look like in Psalm 95?
  4. In the Bible, we see that when people realize who God is, it drives them to immediate, uncontainable worship. They cannot keep it to themselves and they cannot help but worship. Does this show in your own worship? If not, what might you step might you be missing?
  5. Hebrews 13:15 describes our praise as _________. Does your life reflect a praise that never stops? When do you remember to praise God and worship Him? When do you forget or live distracted from that purpose?
