WORSHIP GOD - For what he has done

SCRIPTURE
Romans 12:1 |
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Psalm 150:1-6 | Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequaled greatness! Praise him with a blast of the rams horn; praise him with the lyre and harp! Praise him with the tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flutes! Praise him with a clash of cymbals; praise him with loud clanging cymbals. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD! Praise the LORD!

Isaiah 12:1-5 | In that day you will sing: I will praise you, O LORD You were angry with me, but not anymore. Now you comfort me. See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! In that wonderful day you will sing: Thank the LORD! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! Sing to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.

DISCUSSION
1. Psalm 150:2 tells us to praise God for his mighty works or what He has done. What has God done in your life that you can praise Him for?
2. In Isaiah, our song of praise or worship is because God saved us.
  • Have you been saved by God through Jesus?
  • How do you know?
  • How do you worship Him because of His gift of salvation?
3. In Isaiah 12:5, we see that our worship of God because of salvation should not only be private or personal.
  • Why do you think this is?
  • Do you worship God privately? Why or why not?
  • Do you worship God In front of others? If in front of others, who? If only in front of some people and not others, why?
4. In Psalm 150, what are some things used for worship?
5. Thinking about worship from Romans 12:1, does worship always involve music and/or instruments? What are some other acts of worship?
