WORSHIP GOD - To point others to him

SCRIPTURE
Romans 12:1 |
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice - the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

Psalm 34:1-3 | I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the LORD; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the LORDs greatness; let us exalt his name together.

1 Chronicles 16:4-13 | David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the LORD - to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel. Asaph, the leader of this group, sounded the cymbals. Second to him was Zechariah, followed by Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. They played the harps and lyres. The priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, played the trumpets regularly before the Ark of Gods Covenant. On that day David gave to Asaph and his fellow Levites this song of thanksgiving to the LORD: Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD. Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, you children of his servant Israel, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.

DISCUSSION
  1. Read Psalm 34:1. How often should we praise God and give Him our worship?
  2. Who are we told to tell our praises of God to?
  3. Why would God want us to worship and praise Him in front of others?
  4. Do you speak of God worshipfully and give Him praise in front of others constantly? If not constantly, how often? If not constantly, are there people you do not mention God to? Why?
  5. Who do you know who does not know Jesus? How can you point them to Jesus through your worship and praise? How will you begin doing this the next time you are together?
