SERVING - Equipped by God

SCRIPTURE

Ephesians 2:10 |
For we are Gods masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Isaiah 64:8 | And yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.

Psalm 139:13-16 | You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mothers womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous - how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

DISCUSSION
  1. God calls you His masterpiece. Do you feel like a masterpiece - a work of art, made with great care? Why or why not?
  2. God took great care creating you, in part, so you could do the good works He planned for you to do. What talents and abilities has God given you? How might He plan to use these things or how is He already using them?
  3. God has a plan for your life that includes good works - serving! If you choose not to serve, are you filling your purpose? What are some of the consequences of this in your life? In your relationship with God? In the lives of others?
  4. Think back to the talents and abilities God has given you.  Are you using those things to serve God and others? In what ways?
  5. Are you ever guilty of using your talents and abilities to serve yourself (for personal gain, to impress others, or for other selfish motives)? How will you change this?
