NAMES OF JESUS: Price of Peace

SCIRPTURES
Isaiah 9:6  | For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Romans 5:1 | Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

John 16:33 | I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”


DISCUSSION

1. What is “peace?”
2. One name for Jesus is Prince of Peace. What spiritual peace does man need with God because of their sin?
3. How did Jesus make peace with God possible?
4. Jesus also tells us that we can have peace here on earth, even when life is hard or we face struggles. Why would a follower of God have peace when the world is full of worry, fear, or stress?
5. Recently, have your heart and mind been at peace? If not, what have you been worried about or fearful of? Read Philippians 4:6-8 and put it into action today!
