Jeremiah 23:5-6 | “For the time is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land. And this will be his name: ‘The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety.
2 Corinthians 5:21 | He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
DISCUSSION

DISCUSSION
- What is ‘righteousness?’
- On our own, can any of us be righteous? Why or why not?
- One name for Jesus is Our Righteousness. Jesus stands in our place before God the Father so that we don’t bear the punishment for our sin and are instead, made children of God. Spend some time praising Him for that now.
